Templar's Castle, Nazaré and Óbidos

Enjoy a complimentary Hotel pick up from your guide at 8:30am (suggested time) and enjoy a 1:30h ride to our first stop - the Convent of Christ in Tomar. Convent of Christ - Tomar You'll see exquisite 900-year-old architecture and learn about how the Knights Templars influenced the history of Portugal. From Tomar we'll drive to the Monastery of Batalha to hear about another key moment in our history - when the Portuguese fought the Spanish for their independence on one of the biggest medieval field battles in European history. The grandiosity of this gothic Monastery is something to admire. Nazaré After an enjoyable lunch in Batalha we'll head to Nazaré and appreciate its beautiful coastal views, the fishing village vibe and visit the place where the biggest waves in the world are surfed. Óbidos On our way back to Lisbon we'll stop at the picturesque medieval walled town of Óbidos. You can taste its traditional cherry liqueur while admiring its simple and unique architecture.
