Plus when you are toured by a native Portuguese - born and raised in Portugal - you have access to privileged information about being part of this country since time immemorial and we can explain how our parents and grandparents lived and give you deeper input into the evolution of life and culture in Portugal. I have the 5-year University degree from ESHTE (Estoril's School of Tourism) that gives me the credentials and proves my ability as a Licensed Tourist Guide for areas that go from Ethnology, passing by Arts and Aquitecture, Literature, Geography and Nature World, Foreign Languages to Psychology, Law and Economy, Gastronomy, Guidance Pratice and many many others. I am also a member of SNATTI (National Union of Guides, Translators and Interpreters) with nº 4209 and member of AGIC (Association of Portuguese Guides and Tour Leaders) with the number 213. I have worked as Assistant Shore Excursions Manager and Shorex Manager for two international Cruise Ship Companies. I also worked for a Cruise Ship Operator (Ibercruises - that you might encounter when coming with cruise ships to Lisbon), creating new tours/programs I have no restrictions as an Accredited and Licensed Tourist Guide - I am allowed to do guide you inside all monuments all over Portugal. Note that there are “skip the line” tickets only for Tourist Guides like me and operators (like me as well) for the entrance at the National Palace of Pena in Sintra and no other places in Portugal.
