I’m Rui, a certified local guide based in Lisbon, and over the years I’ve had the pleasure of delivering more than 900 private tours across Portugal for travelers from all over the world—especially from the United States and Canada. My approach is simple: to offer a personal, relaxed, and well-organized experience, where you can enjoy Portugal at your own pace while I take care of all the details. I try to make each day feel natural and enjoyable—combining history, culture, local insights, and flexibility along the way. Many of my guests say it feels more like exploring with a knowledgeable local friend than being on a traditional tour. I specialize in private, fully customizable and skip the line tours throughout the country, including Lisbon, Sintra, Cascais, Óbidos, Nazaré, Fátima, Tomar, Coimbra, Aveiro, Porto, the Douro Valley, Évora, the Algarve, and even southern Spain. Whether it’s a full-day tour or a multi-day itinerary, everything is adapted to your interests and pace. For cruise travelers, I offer flexible shore excursions designed around your schedule, with smooth pick-up and return so you can explore with complete peace of mind. I also provide private transfers across Portugal, which can include stops along the way—turning travel days into part of the experience. The car that I use in my tours is a SUV, a Peugeot 5008. Comfortable and spacious, with a trunk big enough for large suitcases and carry on’s. More than just guiding, I focus on creating moments you’ll remember—through stories, places, and a genuine connection to the country. Seja muito Feliz

Évora was founded by the Romans and today its mark is still well-known in the well-preserved ruins of the Temple of Diana. unique throughout the Iberian Peninsula. The aqueduct with a length of 9 km, the Church of San Francisco and the Palace of D. Manuel, the Chapel of Bones, the Sé of Évora or the medieval walls, are places not to be missed. Outside the city, there is a fantastic and unique plain to discover, as well wineries and very good wine!
The trip from Lisbon to Évora takes an hour and a half. The firs stop will be by the Almendres Cromlech, a group of millennial menhirs, 6000 years old. When in Evora, the Roman Temple will receive us with his amazing columns, remembering two thousand years of history. After the first stop, the old city is right in front of us; the cork and whine shops confirmes it: we are in Evora. The Church of San Francisco, the Chapel of Bones, the Cathedral of Évora and the medieval walls, are some of the places we will discover in this fantastic an old city in the south of Portugal.
