From the moment she picked us up and dressed us as Knights to our arrival in Tomar, she brought centuries of history to life with an incredible depth of knowledge and infectious enthusiasm. Touring the magnificent castle, convent, and church was fascinating on its own, but Sandra's storytelling elevated the experience to another level. She expertly explained the vast network of the Knights Templar, their influence across Europe, their mystical traditions dating back to 1099, and the compelling theories surrounding their escape to Scotland. Every stop was packed with captivating details that made the history feel vivid, mysterious, and unforgettable. Beyond being an exceptional historian, Sandra also made sure the day was enjoyable in every way. She recommended a wonderful local restaurant along the river where we enjoyed an outstanding lunch in a beautiful setting—a perfect complement to the day's adventures. Her passion, professionalism, and ability to weave together history, legend, and local culture made this one of the best tours I've ever taken. Sandra is very knowledgeable about the history of Portugal and the Knights Templar. We had lots of questions, and she answered them all. Despite a bit of rain, the tour was really enjoyable. This tour is a bit off the beaten path, and we appreciated the lack of crowds. The tour is well-paced, with plenty to see but not so much that it just becomes a blur.

This was our second tour with Sandra last year. I can only tell you that we enjoyed Sandra so much that we booked her for two additional tours. Each was different. We provided the itinerary and she made all three work to perfection. If you love history and want to see the real Portugal you should book with Sandra. We learned great history told in an interesting and humorous manner. The views were extra-ordinary as we visited fabulous historical monasteries , castles and palaces. Highly recommended.
