At last, in the return way to Lisbon, visit to Obidos, a nice medieval city inside of the walls of a castle from the 10th century, where you can enjoy free time to buy your souvenirs of the day.
Gerardo was on time with easy communication. He was informative and also laid back. He adjusted to what our group of 5 wanted. We never felt rushed. We loved seeing Nazere, and although there were no big waves when we were there, it was still VERY neat. Obidos at Christmas time was stunning! LOVED this walled town and highly recommend!
Gerardo met us at our hotel bright and early. He then proceeded to take us to the locations described in the tour. Each location was more beautiful than the first! He provided wonderful historical background at every location. He recommended an amazing location for lunch which we enjoyed beyond words. We ended our tour at Fatima which was breathtaking and very moving. Gerardo then drove us back to our hotel. We absolutely loved the tour and guide. Highly recommend.
From Lisbon towards Fátima Sanctuary it will be a 1 hour 15m on the highway. The visit to the Sanctuary will be around 1:00 hour and then we go to Batalha. Visit to the Gothic Cathedral for 45 minutes Time to have lunch at the famous restaurant " Mosteiro dos Leitões " where you can eat the Portuguese speciality suckling pig. Alternatively the lunch can be at Nazare, where fresh fish or seafood are waiting for you. Time to relax in Nazare for 30 minutes and then we go to our last stop of the day which is the Medieval village of Óbidos for a 45 min visit, Then we return back to Lisbon which will be 1hr trip.
