A Brilliant Tour with an Even More Brilliant Guide! We took the “Tomar and Fátima” tour on May 17, 2025, from Hotel Palácio do Visconde in Lisbon, and it was absolutely fantastic. What truly made it unforgettable was our guide, Paulo Coelho (yes, like the author!) a master storyteller with deep historical knowledge, a sense of humor, and a gift for connecting past and present through personal anecdotes. The Convent of Christ in Tomar was stunning, and Paulo brought its Templar history to life in a way that was both informative and completely engaging. In Fátima, his sensitivity and personal connection to the site added a heartfelt layer that made the visit especially meaningful. Everything was well organized, comfortable, and thoughtfully paced. If you’re considering this tour, go for it and if you can request Paulo, do! He made it one of the highlights of our time in Portugal.

Along the way we will enjoy the green scenery of Ribatejo, one of these regions that remains unknown for tourism where agriculture is of upmost importance. ●Tomar is a charming and historically outstanding town on the banks of the Nabão River. It is dominated by a 12th-century Templar castle containing one of the country's most significant and impressive monuments, the Convent of Christ(VISIT WITH THE GUIDE). ●Aqueduct of Pegões, Tomar (VISIT WITH THE GUIDE) Built to serve water to the Convent of Christ. Arrival at Fátima. ●Houses of the shepherds (VISIT WITH THE GUIDE) Arrival with the guide at ●The Recint. ●Chapel of Apparitions. It was the first building constructed in the Cova da Iria, at the place of Our Lady's Apparitions. ●Basilica. Begun in 1928 and consecrated on 7 October 1953 ●Berlin Wall. Was placed here as a grateful memorial of God's intervention for the fall of Communism as promised at Fatima. Back to Lisbon (128km-1h30). Tour can be custom.
