Travel north to the medieval village of Óbidos, the “Village of Queens,” where you’ll stroll cobbled streets, admire whitewashed houses, and taste the famous Ginja cherry liqueur. Continue to Peniche to enjoy the dramatic cliffs and rock formations of Cabo Carvoeiro, one of the most striking viewpoints on Portugal’s Atlantic coast. Nearby Baleal, a small peninsula surrounded by ocean, offers beautiful scenery, surf culture, and excellent photo opportunities. End the day at the magnificent Mafra Palace and Convent, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and Portugal’s grandest Baroque monument. Enjoy a relaxed coffee stop at a local pastelaria and taste traditional convent sweets. Fully private, flexible, and unhurried—an authentic west coast experience.

Your Lisbon tour itinerary

We drive through the province of Extremadura to Óbidos, known as "Village of Queens". Entirely surrounded by walls and very well preserved. Here we start an extensive orientation tour. Guests are invited to the famous cherry liqueur "Ginginha taste". Free time. Óbidos is located near the magnificent coastal scenery of Peniche. Peniche is a small fishing town where the fishing industry is an important activity. Lot's of restaurants specialized in fish and seafood. Strange rock formations at the "Cabo Carvoeiro" can be admired. Short photo stop. Along the way we enjoy this magnificent coastal scenery until we arrive at the fishing village of Baleal, a fusion between land and sea. Stop for you to discover it. Our journey takes us north through the hilly landscape of the west coast until we reach Mafra. Mafra Convent has inspired several Portuguese writers as our Nobel Prize for Literature (1998) José Saramago. Visit to the imposing church of the Mafra Convent, largest baroque building in Portugal.
