We can't forget about Alcobaça and Batalha, with its Romanesque and Gothic monasteries, or about Tomar, once the capital of the Order of the Temple in Portugal. Queluz, Mafra and Ajuda and their magnanimous royal palaces are also worth mentioning, as well as the city-museum of Évora, also the best oasis for any desert.
