Also the history of each place will be connected that way with the other sites you may visit, so you will have at the end a complete experience while touring around Portugal. No restrictions. Private 6 hour Tour to Fátima
Overview of your Lisbon tour
As a guide who traveled with Catholic pilgrims for more than 8 years across all different European countries, I feel like I'm home whenever I go to back to Fatima! Come and learn about history, faith and catholic legacy with me! We'll start our afternoon by driving towards Fátima (about 75 miles) to visit one of the most spiritual Shrines in the world, visited by 7 million pilgrims a year. This was the site of 6 apparitions of Our Lady to three shepherd children; Lucia (age 10), Jacinta (age 7), and Francisco (age 9). These apparitions occurred monthly from May until October of 1917. We'll cover all the religious sites including the three churches of the Shrine and , time permitting , the houses of the visionaries. Take your time to light a candle or pray by the image of the Blessed Mother in the site of the Apparitions just before we drive back to Lisbon.
Your Lisbon tour itinerary
We'll leave Lisbon and drive for about 1. 30 hours to Fatima. Once there, we'll visit the Sanctuary and all its three churches: Holy Trinity, Chapel of the Apparitions and Our Lady of the Rosary. You'll have time to pray, attend mass or get a confession at the Chapels of the Reconciliation. You'll also have time to stroll, buy some souvenirs and eat a light lunch in one of many restaurants, shops or caffes of the town. All amenities are close to the sanctuary. Time permitting we'll drive to the village where the shepherds / visionaries used to live and visit their former houses, nowadays transformed into little museums and places of prayer.
