NOTE : A CERTIFICATE TOURIST GUIDE has been educated in a higher education level for at least 3 years in order to be able to present in an accurate way all the historical facts and bring to life the history of each place, connecting it with life in modern Portugal , when offer his/her services to the visitors. Choosing to have a guided tour with an officially licensed tourist guide will enhance your experience and provide an in depth presentation. Also the history of each place will be connected that way with the other sites you may visit, so you will have at the end a complete experience while touring around Portugal. No restrictions. As a Certified Guide I can tour anywhere in Portugal including driving and touring at the same time.

Overview of your Lisbon tour
There is no such thing as traveling and not eating! For me gastronomy is one of the strongest mirrors of any society. Food has as much history as an historical archaeological site, maybe even more… it grows and flourishes through the course of time! As a wine and food lover (and not a trendy foodie) let me take you on a walking tour up and down the hills of Lisbon exploring markets, having an espresso with a custard tart in a busy bakery, seat with locals and enjoy a bite of seafood or yet a pork sandwich and a glass of local wine at a counter just as the locals do. Let's go on a journey into our food tradition: tasting our pastries, cheeses, wines , sandwiches and beers! There's a world of bites and delights available for us, you just need to follow me into the history of the traditional sites, shops and caffès of the city!
Your Lisbon tour itinerary
We'll start our tour from Praça do Comércio in one of the oldest caffès in Lisbon, the famous Martinho da Arcada, sight of rest to one of our best know writers - Fernando Pessoa. We'll start there with a coffee and custard tart. Continue along the pedestrian street Rua Augusta to reach Rossio square (the heart of Lisbon). We'll then have a seat and try some of the best sellers of Portuguese "petiscos" /sharing portions (chosen according to food restrictions and personal taste! Up hill it's now time for the famous Bifana (our marinated pork sandwich with mustard and hot sauce) , at the counter, mingling with locals and having a draft beer as tradition dictates. By the end of the tour we'll sample the king of creamy cheeses : Azeitão sheep cheese, spread on crackers and singing along a glass of wine! *the samples can be customized according to your preferences or restrictions
