Hello everyone! My name is Orest, and I am passionate about history, meeting new people, and sharing the incredible stories of Cracow with visitors from around the world. I am a professional interpreter with a University degree in linguistic and intercultural mediation. My career has allowed me to explore diverse cultures, connect with people from all walks of life, and develop a deep appreciation for the power of storytelling. These experiences have naturally led me to guiding, where I can combine my love for history with my passion for connecting with others. Cracow is a city I adore, and I feel fortunate to call it home. From the medieval charm of the Old Town to the poignant history of Kazimierz and the grandeur of Wawel Castle, Cracow is a living, breathing tapestry of history. I take great joy in uncovering its layers and bringing the past to life for my guests. Before settling here, I spent 12 wonderful years living in Italy. Immersing myself in Italian culture, language, and history was a transformative experience that shaped my approach to guiding. During my time there, I began leading tours, sharing fascinating stories about art, architecture, and local traditions with travelers. It was then that I discovered my passion for creating memorable experiences through storytelling. Now, in Cracow, I use my expertise to craft tours that are engaging, informative, and tailored to your interests. Whether you’re a history enthusiast eager to explore the city’s medieval roots, or a curious traveler wanting to uncover its hidden gems, I am here to make your visit unforgettable. I speak multiple languages, including English, Italian, Russian, and Ukrainian, which allows me to connect with guests from diverse backgrounds and ensure that everyone feels welcome and engaged. My goal is to make each tour a personal and enriching experience, where you not only see the sights but also feel the heartbeat of this incredible city. Cracow is more than just a destination—it’s a story waiting to be told. Let’s explore it together and create lasting memories as we uncover its beauty, history, and unique charm. I can’t wait to meet you and share my love for this amazing city!

Join me on a walking tour of Kraków’s stunning Old Town, starting at the Grunwald Monument! From this landmark, we’ll dive into the rich history of this UNESCO World Heritage Site. We’ll stroll through Planty Park, the green belt around the Old Town, and visit St. Florian’s Gate and the Barbican, where I’ll share stories of Kraków’s medieval defenses. Next, we’ll head to Rynek Główny, Europe’s largest medieval square, to explore highlights like the Cloth Hall and St. Mary’s Basilica, famous for its wooden altar and trumpet call. We’ll then visit Wawel Hill to admire Wawel Castle and Cathedral while I tell you the tale of the Wawel Dragon. We’ll also explore Jagiellonian University, one of Europe’s oldest, and take a walk to Kazimierz, the historic Jewish Quarter filled with culture and history. Along the way, I’ll point out must-see spots like the Town Hall Tower and the Church of St. Peter and St. Paul. Join me for a fun and fascinating journey through Kraków’s past!
