From regional parks for bush or coastal walks, you can hop on a bike starting at one end of the cycle trail and ending at the other. Parks, gardens, art galleries, and olive & wine estates exist. Add in the beaches and bays; the choices are numerous. West to east cost road journeys
The western side of the Coromandel Peninsular can be discovered in a day journey.

The township of Paeroa, the self-proclaimed unofficial Antique Capital ion New Zealand. A main street lined with antique, vintage clothing stores which you can mooch through as stroll the length of the main street. The town is the home to the therapeutic spring water discovered in the 19th century. This water when mixed with lemon became New Zealand's first natural soft drink...we will make sure you have the opportunity to try some (should you wish)

Crossing the Ohinemuri River within the dramatic Karangahake Gorge, a deep canyon cut through the Kaimai Ranges . Highlights pf the gorge include cascading water fall, gold-mining sites and the charmingly old-fashioned Victoria Battery Museum and amazing 1100m-long railway tunnel. Then there is also the cute Wakino Station where there is a cafe. You have the option to either walk or bike the gorge.
