Hi, I'm John I am a true born and bred Aucklander, and have lived all my life in this wonderful city. My Auckland heritage is very strong, going back three generations. I am passionate about Auckland and would love the opportunity to show you around this intriguing city. My background is in real estate where I was the co-owner of an international franchise company. I also hold a Diploma from the New Zealand Institute of Management. My interests include movies, shows, music, and sports. I play tennis and golf, and run regularly (starting tomorrow!). I retain a keen interest in international affairs, and have travelled to many parts of the world, including the USA, Canada, Australia, some Pacific islands, Great Britain, Europe, and Egypt. The unique location of Auckland, stretching from one side of New Zealand to the other on a narrow isthmus, means there is an incredible variety of natural features to enjoy, including native bush, beautiful beaches, dormant volcanoes, a sparkling harbour, plus manicured parks with stands of native trees. A rich and colourful history and culture provides a vibrant backdrop to this lively city, and ensures that a guided tour of Auckland will be a memorable experience. Of course a tour could be customised to meet your particular requirements. I can promise you a compelling mix of sound local knowledge, and fun. it would be a pleasure to introduce you to the Auckland I know and love. See you soon! John

Today we visit the many beautiful beaches along the coast, the Puhoi Historic Village, a Kauri forest, and the Scandrett Regional Park. But the highlight of the day is the Brick Bay Sculpture Trail, described as a dynamic exhibition of over 60 large-scale sculptures, set in a sublime landscape of towering native trees. If you don't feel up to the approximately 1 hour walk, we could visit the nearby picturesque town of Matakana, and the renowned pottery works. Certainly a day of variety to remember. ,
Leaving Auckland city, we travel north to Silverdale, then catch a spectacular glimpse of the sea as we approach the delightful township of Orewa. We pass Hatfields Beach, and Waiwera before arriving at the Wenderholm Regional Park for a stroll through a little park of Pohutukawa trees, and a chance for a walk along the beach. On to the historic village of Puhoi for a coffee stop and a look around. Next is the Parry Kauri Park and a short walk through these magnificent trees. Passing through Walkworth we come to the Brick Bay Sculpture Trail (entry fee included) for the 2 km walk past lakes and forests. Scandretts Farm is our next stop, where relics of the old farming days can be seen during a walk along the beachfront. We return via the tranquil Algies Bay and Snells beach, with a possible visit to the town of Matakana before making the trip back to your accommodation in Auckland city.
