Overview of your Auckland tour

Experience Auckland's fascinating volcanic landscape, get a taste of Maori history and discover the wonderful West Coast, the home of Maui Dolphins, Seals (Kekenos) and native bird life. Every time I come here I am fascinated and the scenery is always different. Leaving the crowds behind us we will travel through the Kumeu wine region to the wild West Coast. Enjoy the wonderful nature on a walk through mystic rainforest before reaching the 60 km long black sand beach. Be mesmerised by an amazing view over the Tasman Sea and if you are lucky you will see playful Maui Dolphins, sunbathing seals and about 3000 Gannets looking after their chicks (August-April). We head back to the "City of Sails", visit historical Bastion Point and get a taste of Maori history before we stop in a little sea side village where you will have the opportunity to have some lunch enjoy one of my favourite view's onto Auckland's largest volcano, Rangitoto and Browns Island before visiting one of my best loved places, Maungakiekie.

Our time in Auckland was limited and we did not have access to a car, so we booked the City to Surf Tour and we were treated to one of the best tours ever! We were shown the West side of Auckland as well as major points of interest within the city. It clearly demonstrated why this city is so beautiful. The other important element of our experience was with Gesa. Truly a delightful individual with a warm and engaging personality. Gesa is a personable, knowledgeable guide with a unique perspective. We really enjoyed our day with her and saw some breathtaking sites. Very comfortable transportation. She also took time to orient us to sites around the harbor when she dropped us off at our ship, so we were able to walk about after and discover a few things on our own. We strongly recommend her.

*Starting time is flexible 8:30 am pick up - Leaving the crowds behind us, we will travel to the wild West Coast (40 minutes). - Enjoy the wonderful nature on a walk (30-60 min) - at low tide explore the sea caves at Maori Bay - a bonus! - We head back to the "City of Sails" - Visit historical Bastion Point - Stop in a little sea side village - Visit Maungakiekie, the second largest volcano Auckland's Please note: walking component can be adjusted to your fitness level Wheelchair users: Please let me know in advance, so I can make sure how to best accomodate you Drop off around 3:30 pm This is a suggested itinerary, let me know what you would like to see and do and I will customize the tour accordingly!
