"I am taking you to paradise" . . . . were my husband's words when I boarded the plane to Aotearoa for the first time. . . . Kia Ora and a warm welcome to Beautiful Auckland! I am Gesa, "a Kiwi by choice" and so fortunate to call Aotearoa and Auckland home. Leave the crowds behind, feel the beautiful nature and experience the real Auckland, that is what I stand for. Personal, flexible and individual! Above all, it is the personal touch that keeps clients coming back to book their next tour with me. I am proud to say that every tour I design is still unique to each client - tailor-made to create a special experience. All my tours are open to customization. As a keen runner and while training on Stewart Island (most southern island of NZ) up to Cape Reinga (most northern tip of NZ where the Tasman Sea and the Pacific Ocean meet) my passion and love for nature deepened and the idea of " Beautiful Nature Tours Auckland" formed. A Boutique Tour Guide Company with the idea for visitors to feel and experience the real Auckland and it's wonderful outdoors while being active and leaving the crowds behind. . . Take in the amazing nature while walking, listening to the wonderful bird life and seeing native animals of New Zealand in the wild. Originally from Hannover in Germany, I am living since fourteen years with my Kiwi husband and our three energetic sons in Auckland after spending ten years in Sydney and six months in Paris. For the last twenty five years we have been hiking/running/cycling the "Land of the long white cloud" with its breath-taking nature and I would love to show you this magnificent part of the world. I am passionate about inclusive tourism and open when appropriate to tailoring an adventure to each individual client and when needed have support & professional advice from the Makingtrax team. Welcome to Aotearoa New Zealand. During your time here, we will discover some of my favourite places and those my family returns to again and again — our happy places. From Auckland’s sparkling harbours and volcanic landscapes we journey to the wild West Coast, where black sand beaches meet the powerful Tasman Sea and, in September, the first gannets return to begin their breeding season. We explore the predator-free sanctuary of Tāwharanui with its fascinating native birdlife, coastal walks and beautiful scenery, before enjoying the boutique vineyards of both Matakana and Waiheke Island, each offering their own unique character and flavours. Another day takes us to the spectacular Bay of the Boisterous Seas with dramatic cliffs, native rainforest and waterfalls. Finally, we experience the magic of New Zealand’s glowworm caves, one of the country’s true natural wonders. Optional Rotorua adds a more traditional but fascinating insight into New Zealand’s geothermal and Māori heritage.
Day 1 – City to Surf: Explore Auckland’s volcanic cones, sparkling harbours and beautiful viewpoints before heading to the rugged West Coast with its black sand beaches and dramatic Tasman Sea scenery. In September, the first gannets will have returned for their breeding season. Day 2 – Stunning Tāwharanui: Visit the predator-free sanctuary with fascinating native birdlife, pristine beaches and coastal walks. Optional stops include the Manuka Honey Centre and charming Matakana village. Day 3 – Waiheke Island: Explore the island while visiting two very different vineyards and enjoying lunch overlooking the ocean at Mudbrick. Day 4 – Bay of the Boisterous Seas: Experience spectacular coastal scenery, native rainforest and a beautiful waterfall. Day 5 – Glowworm Caves: Discover one of New Zealand’s true natural wonders as thousands of glowworms illuminate ancient caves like a star-filled sky (family run, small group tour) Days 1–4 are my family’s happy places, while Day 5 never fails to amaze.
