Overview of your Auckland tour

You will love this place as much as I do - my first impression of NZ and I return as often as possible. This tour will take you along the Matakana Wine trail to the breath-taking East Coast Regional Park, set on a remote Peninsula. We will walk along the Pacific Ocean's stunning coastline and experience some of the wider Auckland region's most beautiful white sand beaches, rolling pastures, native coastal forest and regenerating wetlands. Experience NZ's first open nature sanctuary, integrating conservation, recreation and farming. The pest-free habitat provides a safe home for threatened native wildlife…and who knows we might even spot some dolphins - one of my favourite tours! Included in the tour package is a complimentary wine tasting at one of the award-winning vineyards. You will have the option to dine at the winery for lunch, at your own cost, if you wish to try some of the region's best local produce. We will head to the 'Parry Kauri Park' where we will "meet New Zealand's green giants.

We has a fabulous time with Gesa! Within a short amount of time she keyed into exactly what we wanted from our day tour outside of the City of Auckland and she quickly made some adjustments to suit our needs. We thoroughly enjoyed everything about our day. From the honey centre to the ice cream shop, our drive through a quaint little town that included a stop at a local chocolate store, from the scenic east to the west coast drive and ending our day with a late lunch and wine tasting couldn’t have been planned any better. It exceeded our expectations and she dropped us off at the airport on time. I highly recommend Gesa and would definitely book with her again!!!

We booked this tour through Tours by Locals with the local tour guide Ms. Gesa Mitchell. It was a magnificent experience. In addition to an unforgettable impression of the west coast, hiking on the Edmund Hillary trial , she also took us to Mount Eden, which offers a great view of Auckland, and then showed us various highlights in this beautiful city. We highly recommend Gesa Mitchell as a tour guide.

Gesa is terrific. She puts her heart and soul into every outing. She plans a great day of activities yet she is flexible enough to adapt to your interests and changing weather conditions. She is a pleasure to spend the day with. I’d highly recommend that you book her for two days— a day on the west coast and a second day on the east coast. You won’t regret it

Gesa is a wonderful guide. She loves New Zealand and it clearly shows. She is punctual, well organized, an excellent driver, extremely knowledgeable, and knows all the best places to go to maximize your experience. She is very personable and flexible and will tailor your time to what your priorities are. If you are not sure what to see, she will show you all the best highlights. Her vehicle is quite spacious including for your luggage. I would give Gesa my highest rating!

Your Auckland tour itinerary

*Starting time is flexible 8:30 am pick up from CBD Hotel/Port or as agreed On our way we stop at the Honey Centre (world famous New Zealand Manuka Honey) Fantastic walk along the Pacific Ocean's stunning coastline (about 2 hours). Wine tasting at one of the award-winning vineyards (around 1 pm). We will "meet New Zealand's green giants"! Please note: walking component can be adjusted to your fitness level Arrival back into Auckland at approximately 3:30pm. This is a suggested itinerary, let me know what you would like to see and do and I will customize the tour accordingly
