Essence of Auckland

John's tour of Auckland exceeded our expectations! We had arranged for him to pick us up at the cruise ship terminal, and he spent the next few hours covering as much of the local sights, history, and culture as possible before dropping us off at the airport for our flight home. We saw beautiful coastlines, sprawling city parks, typical and prestigious residential areas, bustling downtown areas, views from the top of Mount Eden (the climb to get there was a highlight in itself). Though primarily a driving tour, we took several short strolls, and made stops for quick looks at historical displays. We enjoyed visiting one of his favorite coffee shops for a short break. John is a native of the area and his enthusiasm was contagious. He was able to give us a vast amount of information in such a short time. Highly recommend this tour!

John was fantastic. He mixed Auckland history with his own story making the day fun and interesting. We saw the highlights of Auckland in spite of the rain.
