Phil's Memorable Tours: *PLEASE MESSAGE BEFORE BOOKING* A warm welcome to Auckland everyone. I'm Phil and I am very privileged to have been born and raised in Auckland, our biggest and best city in the country. I am a third generation New Zealander and I have always appreciated the magnificent scenery, local attractions and culture that Auckland has to offer. Our biggest city has a myriad of amazing experiences from the beautiful Waitemata Harbour and surrounding eastern beaches with distinctive landmarks to the black sand wild west Coast seashore, of Auckland. After leaving secondary school, I commenced a career in Television production, namely the technical side of television Outside Broadcasting with the then New Zealand Broadcasting Corporation. This led me into a 40-year career starting out as a technical trainee and ending as a Technical Manager, Outside Broadcasts with Television NZ in 2009. My career gave me the chance to be involved in television coverage of cultural, sporting, political and entertainment events. In addition, I was given opportunities offshore, working on sporting fixtures including Commonwealth games in Asia, Football, Rugby League and Paraplegic Olympics in Australia as significant career achievements. From 2009-2023, I operated a sole trader company working as a technical production contractor to the major New Zealand television networks, covering many small local and international high-profile events. I look forward to meeting and greeting our overseas visitors to provide an interesting and informative insight into what makes this vibrant city of ours so unique. I want to include adding some of my favourite personal touches to make their experience fun and unforgettable. My tours can be easily modified to meet personal preferences. I live in an apartment in the heart of Auckland city, so have easy access to all motorway routes for cruise ships, hotels and airport collections, which is both flexible for client pickups and excursions. I enjoy good health, play golf on a regular basis and enjoy walking with my wife on the many inner city Auckland walkways during our leisure time together. I own a reliable air-conditioned Hyundai Tucson SUV vehicle and also hold a heavy transport licence. During my television career, police vetting was required for various high- profile productions in which I was employed. This ensures a clean and verifiable on-going record. References supplied as required. Many thanks for your time and I look forward to hearing from you. First Aid certified All classes of NZ drivers licence No restrictions

Welcome to Auckland, starting briefly on the East side of the city and travelling to the West via the Waitakere Ranges. We begin with an wonderful overview looking out over the Tasman Sea and sub tropical native bush of the Waitakere ranges from the Aratiki Visitors Centre, which also exhibits interesting Maori culture and Fauna. Then onto a wild surf beach, indicative of the west coast, before travelling inland to a picturesque winery, a historical river Tavern and a quaint village overlooking the tidal inlets and channels which meander up the western suburbs. Refreshments and comfort stops are available at either the Westbrook Wine Cellars or the Riverhead Tavern. Note: this tour could be a challenge for wheelchair users hoping to travel along a native bush walking track, or car sickness prone folk, due to the winding up and down roads when travelling through the Waitakere Rangers. I am able to customize this tour according to any requests.
•Depart Auckland from pick up location and head West •First stop- We leave the city and head towards the Waitakere Ranges to enjoy the sights of sub-tropical native bush flora. •Drive to the Arataki Centre -starting point of all Waitakere ranges walking tracks •Next -A western beach; the infamous Piha- a black sand beach, renowned for its strong surf and rugged scenery. The famous Lion Rock, Piha's most iconic landmark is a volcanic monolith with cultural carved inscriptions.
