Auckland’s Wild West Coast - Black Sand, Surf & Seabirds Day Trip

We had a wonderful day with Louise! She picked us up at the airport and off we went. First to the Arataki Centre, then to the gannet colony and Muriwai beach and finally to Mount Eden before taking us to our hotel. In between, we took some walks, went to a lovely market for a tasty lunch, had Louise-provided snacks at the beach (and got me hooked on L&P soda!) and learned a lot about what we were seeing and about the history of New Zealand. Thanks to Louise, it was a perfect first day in New Zealand!

We could not have asked for a better final day in New Zealand than the day we spent with Louise! She showed us the perfect blend of cultural insights, hidden gems in and around Auckland as well as the beauty of the wildlife and scenery of the coast and beaches outside the city. She is flexible, energetic, and passionate about her homeland. Easy to communicate with before, during and after our tour, she introduced us to good food and sites we may never have visited on our own. I’d recommend her to everyone!

What a wonderful two days we spent with Loiuse seeing sites within and outside Auckland. She took us to several gems away from the normal tourist locations , including small, privately owned restaurants . Thank you Louise!😘

Louise is amazing! My husband and I along with 2 close friends spent 7 hours with Louise and it was an incredible day from start to finish. Louise is so knowledgeable, organized, and has a delightful personality. We saw an incredible number of sights outside downtown Auckland as Loise shared her expertise with us. She had a snack of homemade cookies, drinks, and even brought a tablecloth to cover the picnic table! I can not imagine a more wonderful experience than we had with Louise! She is top notch in every way!

This was our second tour with Louise, having had a half day tour already around the city of Auckland. This was a great tour that brought us out of the city and showed us a variety of sights. We truly got a flavour of the countryside and saw spectacular scenery. Louise was a wonderful guide very knowledgeable and accommodating. We couldn’t praise her highly enough for her professionalism, responsiveness, care and attention to every little detail. A lot of what we will remember is thanks to Louise, not only for how she put both tours together for us but all the little touches she added to make them special and give us a more complete picture of the city it’s environs and how the Aucklanders live.
