Louise was outstanding. Although we only had one day in Auckland, we felt as though we really hit the highlights thanks to Louise and her knowledge. She was an excellent guide, very flexible, and really knew Auckland and New Zealand inside and out. The information, history and daily life of the Aucklander is presented in an enjoyable and rememberable way by a most lovely lady. Louise is knowledgeable, easy to speak to and extremely personable. She is willing to share information about her family and her life and had a true interest in yours as well. You will have an absolutely wonderful day with Louise and will not regret a moment as you walk around certain areas and as you explore the suburbs and outskirts of the city in her lovely Hyundai Santa Fe. The tour with Louise was awesome. She truly loves showing visitors her city. I enjoyed every minute. it was relaxing to be able to see the sites at my own pace rather than the fast paced and drive -by excursions offered by the cruise ships. I was shown small but wonderful spots in Auckland. I want to go back and spend another day with her. Definitely consider Louise when looking for the "Best" guide for Auckland and surrounding areas.
Louise is amazing. Very well planned tour. Having her own transportation made it so convenient. She added special touches to ensure that we got an sense of Auckland/New Zealand culture (sausage rolls, homemade Louise cakes, L&P soda, hokey pokey ice cream) . Auckland is a stunning city and Louise did a fabulous job of showing it off.
-We begin by visiting Maungawhau Mt Eden, our highest volcano -then travel on through the inner suburbs to the harbour -Travel a little bit further and enjoy the nature of picturesque Cornwall Park stopping to enjoy the history, beauty, nature. Stand in one of the craters of the volcano while sheep and cattle graze nearby. -Experience the City of Sails first hand at the Viaduct Harbour, Wynyard Quarter and Westhaven Marina -On through the city to the Domain, the wintergardens and Auckland Museum -Then to Parnell rose gardens before driving along picturesque Tamaki Drive to Mission Bay a popular city beach -See the original Mission House and the Art Deco fountain -Work our way back to the city through Parnell village and arrive at Britomart where we explore and learn the history of Auckland before saying farewell Itinerary may change according to your pick up and drop off location.
