**Awarded Local Legend By ToursByLocals** for South and Central Asia & Oceania! Kia ora. I would love you to spend some time with me as we explore Tamaki Makaurau (Auckland) and beyond. I grew up on a farm, attended the small local country school, went to high school in Auckland and have lived mostly in Auckland. I will share the sights, secrets and tastes of New Zealand's largest city with you. As your private tour guide you will see the best sights and my favourite spots where you can enjoy the nature, history and culture of a city built on more than 50 dormant volcanoes. Whether you choose to walk or be driven you can be assured it will be at an enjoyable pace. I'm very flexible so you can always suggest or change something as we go. Just relax, have a great day out and enjoy discovering the real New Zealand with me. I have been working with international visitors for about 30 years and have lived and worked overseas. I love travelling and making friends. I'm a great believer in Slow Travel, having a local experience and taking away lots of good memories. Free Wifi available while you are with me. Ka kite ano New Zealand Passenger licence, Current First Aid Certificate, NZ ProGuides member, CELTA - Certificate English Language Teaching Adults, Kiwihost programme Vehicle has COF, TSL and I have a P endorsement on my licence.

Feel the heart and soul of Auckland. Walk with Me on a journey through Auckland's history, culture and hidden gems - one step at a time. Experience Auckland's brand new subway by catching the train to Karanga-a-hape station where you will be surrounded by amazing art and design. Start at the top of the ridge, Karangahape Road and follow the Te Horotiu stream to the very end where it flows into the Waitemata Harbour. You won't see any evidence of a river or stream, it has all long since been buried but it is still flowing beneath our feet and we are reminded of its existence with remarkable art works. Downhill walk through streets, arcades, steps, parks until we reach Te Komititanga where we say Kia ora to our Maori Chief. This tour contains music, poetry and stories
- Meet at the new Karanga-a-hape Road station - St Kevins Arcade and explore Karangahape Road - Hear the legend and the history - You will also see my first place of employment! - Visit a favourite coffee shop - Great street art all around here - Next stop, a greenstone carving workshop in one of the arcades. You will see carvers at work and some of the beautiful craftsmanship and artworks - Back to St Kevins arcade - Down the steps, past art works and street art - Myers Park established in 1915 and its amazing trees - We are now following the Te Horotiu stream - Music and artworks lead us to Queen Street - We detour past Lost and Found, a new art work, and to the Suffragette steps, learn the real value of the New Zealand $10 note - Auckland Art Gallery - High Street (see my old shop) - Onto Britomart Precinct, Nine Blocks of restored warehouses, art works, the original beach - Te Komititanga Square, Te Waitemata station, the ferry building & Commercial Bay - Say haere ra at our Maori Chief.
