He knows his history, culture, and archaeology. I so appreciate a guide who can give accurate facts (not the half-truths of so many tour guides) and place what you are seeing in context. There's a reason why Diego is the highest rated guide in the Yucatán Peninsula. Diego is not just a guy off the street offering tours. He studied and specialized in Mayan culture in school. This makes the tours very informative. But it isn't all dry information. Diego and his driver Eric make it fun and entertaining too. Loved our visit to Tulum and Coba. Lunch at the home of a Mayan family was delicious. No crowds at the cenote. Eric was a very safe driver. I highly recommend Diego.

Unbelievable trip! Diego is literally an encyclopedia of knowledge when it comes to Mayan culture. Our tour was incredible. Hopefully you're lucky enough to visit Manuel with Diego, his cooking was by far our best meal. We finished our trip in a local Cenote after a Shaman cleansing. An experience I'll remember forever.
