I'm from Mexico City, I have been in the area of Cancun and the Riviera Maya (Playa del Carmen and Tulum) for more than 24 years. I have worked as a tourist guide for 20 years I started in a local company doing adventure tours and culture, I had the opportunity to live with the people of the small Mayan communities in the area and learn a lot from them, the truth is I lost the account How many travelers have I had during my career but something if I can tell you: I love this job. I am a terrible seller, and I do not know what else to write to convince you, but one thing I'm sure we're going to have a lot of fun . . . . let's swim in cenotes, make handmade corn tortillas, climb ancient Mayan temples, learn from the original cultures and a few words in the Mayan language, hike in the jungle trails, and bicycles, take many photos and videos (: D for Instagram), swimming and snorkeling in the coral reefs, boat trips through nature reserves (crocodiles, spider monkeys, howling monkeys, flamingos, eagles, etc. ) we go to famous spots for epic photos. Saúl gave us an incredibly wonderful tour from Club Med Cancun to ChichenItza with lots of interesting history-which we wanted. Our group of 7-family from 30’s to 85 and he accommodated all our activity levels. Heat on site was hot/humid and he paced it well -worth the visit. The cenote was excellent-jumping in with a rope swing! Tacos was voted in for lunch/and we were invited into the back kitchen to make a corn taco. Very good with fresh ground corn meal. We really appreciated the excellent driving by Raymundo too-with over 2 hrs each way; and bringing cold water and snacks. Thank you Saúl! Saul was a wealth of knowledge and completely willing to customize this tour for us - a great day for our family and we learned a ton.
Saul absolutely crushed this tour! We had three little ones with us (ages 6mos., 3 years, and 5 years). They made all the accommodations necessary for everyone to have a great time; they were funny, knowledgeable, and so kind. They helped push strollers, carry bags, and chose a cenote that everyone could enjoy. We had so much fun, learned so much, and enjoyed such a delicious lunch. Highly recommend!
Saul is an awesome tour guide. We were a large group and he was very accommodating to our needs. We requested a custom tour and he made it happen. His knowledge of Mayan history is next level. Highly recommend him!
Saul was awesome. We did a private tour with him to Chichen Itza and couldn't of had a better time. All of our needs were not only met but he went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. I probably asked too many questions but he never seemed to get frustrated or slow down. Also one great thing is that Saul knows the places off the beaten path. He took us to a cenote and it was just us for hours. We used Saul 3 more times that week from fishing to a taco tour.
