Chichen Itza is one of the modern seven wonders and Ek Balam a very well preserved site. In this trip you can admire two of the biggest mayan cities of this area and also you can choose to visit a cenote, have lunch at Valladolid or any other thing you may like to do around the area.
The tour by Cesar was outstanding. Cesar has such knowledge of the Mayan culture and history that truly made the tour special. We had to alter the tour last minute due to Chichen Itza being closed. So, we went to Coba instead and that was amazing to see. Cesar always kept us well informed of what was going on with the changes and was very flexible. I highly recommend this tour and Cesar!
This tour with Cesar was the highlight of our trip to Cancun. I had 3 additions that decided to join me at the last minute and Cesar was very accommodating. We did Chichen Itza first and beat most of the crowds. Cesar was very knowledgeable and got us through there before all of the tour buses and massed arrived. We then had the best meal of our whole trip for lunch in an old colonial town with so much character. We shopped and walked around the town before venturing to Ek Balam. I think all 4 of us would agree that Ek Balam was the highlight of this tour. There were maybe 8-10 other individuals touring the ruins at the same time so we had the place to ourselves. So cool to be able to walk up in and around these beautiful temples and buildings. Great to see two different Mayan ruins and see some similarities but also a lot of differences. At the end we finished the day at a Cenote. Again we had the place to ourselves to enjoy! We saw and learned so much on this trip. I highly recommend Cesar to whatever adventures in the Yucatan that you are searching for!
Our tour to Chichen Itza and Valladolid with Cesar was excellent. Cesar's initial communications were clear and he picked us up at our hotel right on time in a new, air conditioned, van that was extremely comfortable for the 2.5 hour drive to Chichen Itza and throughout the day. Cesar is extremely knowledgable about Chichen Itza, Valladolid, and the entire area, and we learned a lot about the history of the Mayans. We arrived at Chichen Itza early in the morning when it was far less crowded and much cooler. That made a real difference to walking around the ruins. After Chichen Itza, we had a great lunch in Valladolid at one of the oldest hotels in the center of town with delicious Mexican food. Throughout the day Cesar was extremely patient and considerate regarding what we wanted to do and the pace of the day. We would highly recommend touring with Cesar!
Our guide, Cesar, was friendly, personable, and very knowledgeable about the culture and history of the places we visited. He made our time with him very interesting and enjoyable. Between the two Mayan sites (Chichen Itza and Ek Balam), we spent time in a great town, Valladolid, where we had a great lunch and shopped. We highly recommend his services.

Pick up at your hotel and drive for about 2:30 hrs, towards to Chichen Itza to avoid crowds and heat, we will have there between 2 or 3 hrs at your choice and after we can move to Valladolid to have lunch or to Ek Balam, you will decide what would you like to do next, could be a cenote, the order of this activities is not defined and you can decide it on the way. After we finish in that area we will bring you back to your hotel in Playa del Carmen. This tour is considered departing from Playa del Carmen, surrounding areas or south of it, like Puerto Aventuras, Akumal or Tulum, if you are staying at north of Playa del Carmen please let me know where in order to calculate the proper driving time and price, for example if you will be staying at Cancun or somewhere else.
