Cave Tour in Playa del Carmen, a total immersion into the Mayan Underworld

Hola!! Hello everyone! I am Guilhem and I have been living in Playa del Carmen since 2013, working as a tour guide in the beautiful and magical Caribbean coast of Mexico. After graduating of a MASTERS degree in Sciences of the Human Movement in France, my native country, I decided to travel the big and so diverse world. From Turkey to South America, England to South East Asia and finally Mexico, where my journey as traveler really became a life changing process. So since 2009, I have always work managing and leading groups, wether as a coach or tour guide, with both teenagers and adults. This helped me build a strong ability when dealing with very different people, coming from different background. I totaly fell in love with the Yucatan peninsula the first time I set foot into the silent, dark, peaceful and Dali like world : the Cenote systems. It was back in 2014. Since then I have been spending my time educating myself and transmiting my pasion and knowledge to thousands of visitors. Exploring the underworld and unvealing its secrets led me to understand the conexions in beetween all the ecosystems and the former great native civilization : the Mayas. My main goal is to be able to preserve the environment while educating about this amazing part of the world in an experience that would transport you outside of the rigid "classroom type" mass tourism, so often over promoted in the Riviera Maya. I think you have understood now that close, private, true and highly profesional service is what I intend to do in some of the most important and authentic natural places of the area, from the location and the expedition to the food we would share. I would guide you through an astonishing cave system as an extended visit or get you on a multiactivity trip including Cenotes, cave and snorkeling on the reef. All my excursion include local food, encouraging sharing and laughing. No theme parcs or shopping tour are on the program. I am a permanent resident in Mexico authorised to guide into most of the natural areas, including Caves. I am an Aquatic guide and a Federal guide of the National parc of Contoy Island. I am not authorized to guide into the official Archeological sites where only Federal Archeological Guides are allowed.
