Coba is an ancient Mayan city that knew its heyday during the Classic period, between 300 A. D. and 900 A. D. It contains large buildings in the middle of dense vegetation. The highest of them, Nohoch Mul (42 meters tall or 138 feet) is impressive.

This is the unique place where you can have the option of renting a bike or rent a pedi cab (kind of tuk tuk). I prefer using bikes since we can move on our own pace, stopping at all different constructions along the mayan trails through the jungle, is very safe and pleasant, shady and fresh.

After we finish at Coba will be time to refresh ourselves at one of the cenotes around, these are great, if you like to go into a full cave and jump off from a diving platform from 20 feet I will take you there.
