Hi, my name is Yasuko. I am an eclectic tour guide and interpreter. My tour will be custom made just for you. Whether you choose fashion, food, history, museums, or sports, etc. , I promise we will have fun! I earned an M. A. from the University of Illinois. I worked with an American company for years. I like to swim and bike. I live in the west-central Tokyo. I also lived in London, Chicago and Springfield, and traveled around the world. I liked people and enjoyed living anywhere I went. Tokyo is a big city, so it has many places to see - almost anything you can imagine! Here we can walk and use public transportation or I can arrange a taxi or van for you. If you want to see Tokyo of your interest with a personal guide, this is the one. The popular places are Asakusa, Nakamise Market, and Imperial Palace Plaza or East Garden. After being excited by lively market, you will find yourself on the majestic Imperial Palace Grounds. Tokyo is a big city, so anywhere we go, there is a surprise. *Different start time, duration, a number of people, a private van or minibus, or Japanese cultural experience class is also available. Our tour with Yasuko was fantastic. Not only did she give us a crash course on using the public transit but she also took us through various sites around the city that showcased the cherry blossoms, including the Imperial Palace. Highly recommend her services.

Yasuko was amazing as usual. I highly recommend her. She is such a joy to be around. She gave me everything that I needed to make this trip wonderful. I definitely recommend her for at least one 4 hour session for a trip to Japan. She saved me a lot of $ by just giving me instruction on the subway system.
We (my husband & I and our 24 year old son) had a most wonderful 1st of 2 half day tours with Yasuko! We covered much ground, which we had wanted to do, and we had time to soak in many parts of Tokyo - new, old, shrines, parks. And the subway! Yasuko was very attuned to our interests and pace, very knowledgeable and lovely to spend time with. We feel very lucky that she was available to guide us! Our visits included Yanaka, Ueno, Asakusa, and Roppongi Hillsz
Aside from walking a bit too fast (but graciously slowed) for my old bones, Y was an excellent tour guide. She offered insides, facts and anecdotes about Tokyo that were interesting and informative. And as an expert on the very complicated Tokyo transit system, she was able to get us around to many sites in short order! I would not recommend this tour for people with mobile or ambulatory disabilities. I look forward to touring with her again on my next Tokyo trip. She was really great…really.
This is a half-day, custom-made tour. We will see 2 (possibly 3) places of your choice.
