I am Kentaro (or "Ken"), working as a nationally licensed tour guide since 2015. Other than spending five years of my childhood in the US (State of Oregon), I have lived in the Greater Tokyo area my entire life. After graduating from college, I initially spent about 10 years working with a container shipping company headquartered in Singapore before making the shift to the tourism industry. My tour guiding focuses on central Tokyo and use the excellent public transportation system - perhaps one of the most efficient in the entire world. Not only is it the best way to quickly get around the city, it also gives you a good view of the way of life for locals living in Tokyo. After doing a tour with me, you should feel a lot more confident in being able to navigate the city on your own. I have tours of various themes suitable not just for first-time visitors to the city but repeating travelers who are seeking something different from their previous stays. During my time off, I also like to travel internationally just like you; I've done many visits to various parts of both Europe and Asia. Some of my tour content is inspired from my own experience of traveling.
