I am also eager to share the beauty and great aspects of Tokyo I was born in Kobe, in the Western part of Japan, near Kyoto. More recently, I have been living in Tokyo for 18 years. I have one son who is 17 years old. While I have already lived in Tokyo for quite a long time, I always discover many new and intriguing things that I am eager to share with my private tour clients. Tokyo has so many things to see and do, many attractive sightseeing spots and experiences including nature. I would love to show you around the iconic sights of Tokyo as well as the numerous hidden gems off-the-beaten tourist path. All of my tours are private and fully customizable to meet your personal desires and interests. My interest in Japanese culture includes traditional arts and crafts, Japanese tea and confectionery, calligraphy, Kimono, traditional tea ceremonies and theater such as Kabuki, Noh and Bunraku. I also love to stroll around town enjoying the lovely gardens and historic architecture. I have always been interested in or curious about cultural activities, and I have experienced some of them by myself. I have practiced calligraphy, tea ceremony, making Japanese confectionery and even know how to wear Japanese Kimono the traditional way! "Treasure every encounter" is the primary teaching by Sen-no Rikyu, the perfecter of the tea ceremony, and means each encounter you experience is a very precious and once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. I really like this concept and I am doing my best to embrace it by showing my heartfelt hospitality to all the guests I meet! I am a friendly, personable, and adaptable person and will provide you with a comfortable and enjoyable tour with traditional hospitality, "omotenashi" in Japanese. I would suggest to built itinerary to balance the old and new, busy and quiet, down town and green area, etc. Visiting some of the most popular spots in Tokyo such as Tsukiji Market, Meiji Shrine, Asakusa are good for first visitors, but it would be also considerable visiting some of my favorite place such as East Garden of the Imperial Palace, where you can learn how Tokyo have been prospered from Edo to Tokyo, or off-the-beaten path if you want to visit not so touristy place. We had the most wonderful time in Tokyo thanks to Sachimi. She is knowledgeable of the area and took us to see the best highlights of a fascinating city. We experienced cultural, historical, and beautiful sites. She was also flexible and made one or two changes to suit the interests of our group. None of us speaks Japanese but Sachimi made touring easy for us by interpreting for us. When an extra unexpected but highly entertaining event occurred Sachimi was able to adjust and fit it in. She is a delightful person to be with. If we ever go to Japan again, we will definitely contact her!
