Tokyo Half Day Private Walking Tour (4H)

Yoshiyuki was perfect for us. He knew his history, and was relaxed, considerate and had a sense of humour.

He was really nice and English was perfect. We went to the Emperor's Garden, a shrine with way fewer tourists, lots of subway and then the Ginza shopping area. He did look for lesser crowded areas but they had asked for a paper store and that was in the Ginza and very crowded with stylish, elegant locals. It had every expensive designer shop, including Ferarri! The paper store was shoulder to shoulder but excellent selections of lits of Japanese stuff. Yoshida knows the areas really well. Yoshi was fantastic. Had great knowledge, answered every weird question, walked slowly, helped us get subway tix etc. We were all very pleased. There was one other couple who joined us and they were happy too!

Yoshi was a great tour guide. He was flexible with the itinerary, customizing it to our interests as we went along. He met us at our hotel and helped us navigate the subway - a great way to get introduced to Tokyo transportation. He was knowledgeable about the different sites we visited - a mix of history and city culture. English was superb. A very nice fellow and would highly recommend him to others.

My son, his two friends and I had a wonderful tour with Yoshi-san. We had asked for more of a historical tour rather than going to the usual tourist sites and he gave us so much information about Tokyo’s history. We, also, enjoyed a delicious sushi lunch at a small out of the way restaurant. My only regret is that we didn’t take a group picture together.

Yoshi was our guide for a customized walking tour around Tokyo. Yoshi offered to meet at our hotel but we decided to meet at Nezu shrine to save time. The Azalea Garden there was spectacular even though we were a few days early for full bloom. We visited Ueno Park, and then walked thru the Imperial Palace East Garden. Then a subway to Shibuya, where we experienced the famous Shibuya crossing. Yoshi is a real pleasure. He is very proud of his native Tokyo, and happy to show it off. Highly recommend!

Yoshi was a perfect guide to introduce my 2 children (10 and 14) to Tokyo. He managed to balance what I might be interested in with the preferences of my kids. He was patient and kind when waiting around while we perused shops and tenacious in helping me with ticketing for a Shinkansen trip the following day. Yoshi also speaks excellent English.
