I have guided more than 1200 people from over 40 countries in the past 3 years after the pandemic. I enjoy meeting people from different cultural backgrounds and sharing them with each other! My interest in Japanese culture includes traditional arts and crafts, Japanese tea and confectionery, calligraphy, Kimono, traditional tea ceremonies and theater such as Kabuki, Noh and Bunraku. I also love to stroll around town enjoying the lovely gardens and historic architecture. I have always been interested in or curious about cultural activities, and I have experienced some of them by myself. I have practiced calligraphy, tea ceremony, making Japanese confectionery and even know how to wear Japanese Kimono the traditional way! "Treasure every encounter" is the primary teaching by Sen-no Rikyu, the perfecter of the tea ceremony, and means each encounter you experience is a very precious and once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. I really like this concept and I am doing my best to embrace it by showing my heartfelt hospitality to all the guests I meet! Sachimi was a wonderful tour guide. I booked a half-day tour for my first day in Japan, and asked Sachimi to orient me to how things worked— the subways, trains, cultural practices, buying things, an the like as we walked around interesting parts of Tokyo. By the end of the time, I could get around easily on my own.
Excellent tour by an excellent tour guide! Our tour guide, Sachi, was outstanding! We loved the personalized tour of Tsukiji Market. She gave us the opportunity to try the different food stalls along with her knowledgeable expertise. We learned so much about the Imperial Gardens - things we would not have known if we had visited there on our own.

Sachimi was a wonderful guide for our family! It was our first full day in Japan and she helped us learn how to navigate the trains and subway and she gave us a very informative and interesting tour of Tokyo—offering lots of insights into the history and culture. She is also a very lovely person and we thoroughly enjoyed spending part of our trip with her!
Sample Itinerary: ・9:00 Meet at agreed start point: (your hotel, station, etc. ) ・9:15 Subway to Tsukiji Market ・9:45 Walk around Tsukiji Market; Lively food market and kitchen of Tokyo, we will spend 1:00-1:30 hours walking around the market. I will show you the various see food, tell about Japanese food culture, take you to the best vendors to pick up your food, souvenirs and so on. ・11:00 Move to the East Garden of the Imperial Palace ・11:30 Walk in the East Garden of the Imperial Palace - Former site of Edo castle, I will tell you the history of Edo and Tokyo, also show you the beautiful Japanese garden. ・13:00 Proceed to the agreed endpoint and farewell. The time differs depending on the interests and pace of the guests. This itinerary is customizable depending on your interests and preferences. Basically visit two places of your interest. For example, instead of the East garden of the imperial palace, visit Asakusa, the old down town with the biggest temple in Tokyo.
