Hello and welcome to Tokyo. Please call me Kiki. I was born and raised in Tokyo and have spent my entire career working in the city center, giving me a truly local and insider perspective. As a professional interpreter guide, I conduct around 150 private tours a year, mainly for guests from luxury hotels, offering flexible 4 to 8-hour customized experiences tailored to each guest’s interests and pace. From an early age, I was exposed to international cultures, as my parent was educated on the East Coast of the United States and often welcomed guests from abroad into our home. This experience naturally led me to study intercultural communication for my university thesis, shaping my approach to connecting with people from diverse backgrounds. Before becoming a guide, I worked for over 20 years in American-based interior design, specializing in office spaces and retail environments for international clients. I also gained experience in government-related organizations, universities, and embassies. I studied interior design in the United States and hold certifications including a Second-Class Architect license, Interior Coordinator, and Certified Domestic Travel Supervisor. In addition to Tokyo, I also offer tours to Kamakura and the Mt. Fuji area, and I am available for cruise port pick-ups. I specialize in creating personalized tours that combine major highlights with hidden gems, with a particular passion for art, architecture, and design. I would be delighted to share Tokyo and beyond with you in a thoughtful and engaging way.

This relaxed family-friendly Tokyo East tour is designed for guests who would like to explore the Tokyo Bay area at a comfortable pace. Instead of visiting crowded sightseeing spots across the city, this course focuses on a slower and more enjoyable experience for families with young children. We begin at Hamarikyu Gardens, a beautiful traditional Japanese garden surrounded by modern skyscrapers. Guests can enjoy peaceful scenery while learning about old Tokyo and the Edo period. Next, we ride the Yurikamome Line to Odaiba. Although it is part of Tokyo’s public transportation system, many visitors find the fully automated train exciting because it offers panoramic views of Tokyo Bay and Rainbow Bridge. In Odaiba, families can enjoy waterfront scenery, shopping, entertainment areas, and many Japanese and international food options in a relaxed atmosphere.
Our tour begins around 9:00 AM at Hamarikyu Gardens or from your hotel lobby within Tokyo’s 23 wards. We first enjoy a relaxed walk through one of Tokyo’s most beautiful traditional gardens while learning about the Edo period and the contrast between historic Tokyo and the modern skyline. The peaceful atmosphere and open walking paths make the area comfortable for families with children. After visiting the gardens, we travel to Odaiba using the Yurikamome Line. Although it is a commuter train used by local residents, many visitors find it exciting because of the elevated tracks and panoramic views of Tokyo Bay and Rainbow Bridge. The train is fully automated and has no driver. In Odaiba, guests can enjoy waterfront scenery, shopping areas, entertainment facilities, and many Japanese and international food options before the tour concludes around 1:00 PM.

Public transportation, The cruise schedule varies depending on the season, so I cannot guarantee availability. In that case, we will either return to central Tokyo by monorail or continue to Toyosu instead.
