This is greatly packed tour for people with love for the nature. I will take you to many interesting places - historicals and contemporary - in a short period of time, so those of you with just few days in hand - this is a real deal. You can take cool pictures of real Japanese mountain area with majestic Mt. Fuji - visible when weather permits. Depence of your preferences you can have light lunch here of just grap of sample size dishes. Also is possible to get here traditional Japanese ceramics, chopsticks, green tea, maccha tea, various kinds of wooden boxes typical craft from Hakone area - marquentry Did you know that the speciality of the sulfur area of Owakudani are black eggs? They are delicious and it is believed that they prolonging life by 7 years, because they are rich in minerals. If you are a vivid fan of an art we can go to see Open Air Museum with a large Picasso exposition.
Marie was great, she worked through a lot of our confusion and made this trip very easy and doable. She was very knowledgable and shared her love of the country and culture. We learned a great amount in one day and would do it again in a heartbeat. Great experience all around.
This tour was certainly a highlight of our visit to Tokyo. Taking the bullet train is a “must do” and Marie was the perfect tour guide. She navigated us through the hustle and bustle of the Tokyo train station onto the bullet train for the ride to Hakone. She was knowledgeable and very friendly. While we did not get to see Mt. Fuji, Marie entertained us as we rode the cable car, buses and local trains around this beautiful area.
Marie was a great guide for our Mt. Fuji day viewing trip. She navigated the complex transit, provided insightful commentary on the sites, and ensured we found the perfect spot for memorable photos. She also recommended a fantastic local spot for lunch. We especially appreciated her navigating a simpler, train-change-free route back to our Tokyo hotel.

Marie and this tour were amazing!!!! Her excitement for showing us this region of the country was spectacular! Also…instead of going back to Tokyo our journey stayed in the Hakone area. Marie made sure that I knew where to go, how to get there and she checked in with me multiple times to make sure we arrived safely. Also….she sent me tons of great recommendations on other activities to do while we were in Japan. This was all part of the above and beyond service we got from Marie!!!! Awesome tour, awesome guide!
This day for our family was a very informative day—we rode the bullet train, the local train, ship and a bus which was an adventure in itself .We ate in a small town —food was wonderful / very family oriented. The only unfortunate thing was the weather for that day it’s very foggy misty /rainy.

Fuji - if weather permits. 13:00 - 14:00 Lunch at Owakudani and Black egg eating experience. 14:30 Pirate ship boarding and cruise on lake Ashi - view of Mt. Fuji, if weather permits. 15:30 Floating gate of Hakone jinja or Checking point 16:30 Bus to Hakone Yumoto. 17:30 Bullet train back to Shinagawa/Tokyo. 18:00 -18:30 Estimated arrival to your hotel in central Tokyo. We are going to use various kind of transportation - from express train, cable care, rope way, bus and even a pirate ship. Hakone is a beautiful area not so far from Tokio, due its terrain is not so easily accesible, but worth to visit. Due to mountain weather in rare case a pirate ship or cable car service may be suspended.
