If you’re interested in traditional Japanese sites and want to enjoy a day trip from Tokyo, Kamakura is one of the best destinations. It’s closer to Tokyo than Hakone and offers an easy way to experience the charm of old Japan. Kamakura flourished as a samurai capital in the 12th century and still retains a beautiful atmosphere that attracts many tourists and locals alike. The city is dotted with numerous Buddhist temples, Shinto shrines, and historic landmarks. Kamakura is one of my favorite places. I would love to show you around this beautiful city and spend some blissful moments together. Kamakura is also blessed with beautiful natural scenery, surrounded by mountains and the sea. You can also enjoy wonderful restaurants, shops, and cafes.
The following is a sample itinerary. • 8:00 am I'll meet you at your hotel in Tokyo. • 9:30 am Hokoku-ji Temple, also known as the “Bamboo Temple,” features a beautiful bamboo grove and is a peaceful place where you can find tranquility. You can also enjoy matcha tea in the temple's tea room. • 11:00 am Lunch at local restaurant • 12:30 pm Hase-dera temple - It is the oldest temple in Kamakura and houses a large statue of the Hase Kannon. It is a wonderful spot offering beautiful views of Kamakura. • 1:30 pm Kōtoku-in Temple—famous for its massive outdoor Buddha statue • 2:00 pm Taya cave • 4:00 pm The tour ends at your hotel in Tokyo
