Hello and bonjour! (Le français suit l'anglais. ) My name is Yumi, and I'm a nationally licensed tour guide and interpreter based in Tokyo, Japan. I've guided tourists from overseas since 2009 throughout Japan, especially in the Kanto region, including trips around the Greater Tokyo Area (such as Kamakura), Mt. Fuji, Hakone National Park and the Nikko UNESCO World Heritage Site. I was born and raised on Kyushu, the southernmost of Japan's four main islands, and I lived in the Kansai area (Osaka/Kyoto/Kobe) for five years. I came to Tokyo in 1999 and have been here ever since. I love Japan and have lots of information about my country's history and culture to share with you. I'm friendly, knowledgeable and open-minded, and love interacting with people from abroad. I'm sure that my tours will satisfy you and even persuade you to visit Japan again! I look forward to traveling with you! ************************************ Bonjour à tous ! Je m'appelle Yumi. Je suis guide-interprète, certifiée par le gouvernement japonais. Kamakura is located 60km west of Tokyo, less than one hour distance. This city used to be the seat of the 1st Shogunate government from 1192 to 1333. It is called as "Kyoto" of eastern Japan. Numerous Zen sect temples, shrines and other historical monuments as well as Kamakura sand beaches attract travellers coming from all over the world.

Yumi was a great guide. We loved this tour. It was fun talking all the various modes of public transportation. The Bamboo gardens were beautiful. We loved having traditional Japanese lunch with Yumi

She always made sure everyone was in the group was comfortable as possible on the trains(which can get crowded). She is very knowledgeable and learning more all the time. We will differently be booking her again and again in future trips. Thank you very much Yumi:)

My husband and I send our most sincere thanks to Yumi Fukui for an unforgettable tour of Kamskura. Yumi was an impressive guide. Thanks to Yumi, we learned so much about about this historic city. We were able to visit many beautiful places in Kamakura, including the Great Buddha, the Bamboo Garden, and more! Yumi gave us plenty of time to shop for gifts for family and friends back home. She was a perfect guide! We hope to see her on our next visit to Tokyo!
