Hello. My name is Eiichi and my nick name is Eddy. So, please call me Eddy because Eiichi is difficult for visitors to pronounce. I am a "National government licensed guide interpreter" certified by Japanese government. I offer private tours around Tokyo and I am flexible and open to customizing your tours. I was born and live in Chiba prefecture, which is next to Tokyo and I have worked in Tokyo for more than 20 years. My hobby is ceramic art, golf, and Zen meditation, and I like traveling and reading history books. Based on these experience and knowledge, I will introduce Japanese culture and history. I used to work as an engineer for one of major electronic manufacturers which exports communication systems and components to overseas. Through the job, I visited many countries including New Zealand where I fortunately stayed for four years with my family. I have found it fun to communicate with people in other countries. So, after my recent retirement, I started to work as a guide interpreter. I'm looking forward to meeting visitors who are interested in Japanese beautiful nature, unique culture, variety of foods or history. - National government licensed guide interpreter (English) (Cert No. EN01121) -Domestic travel business handling manager (Cert No. 03-53-1626) - Authorized domestic tour conductor

Kamakura is a historical town surrounded by beautiful mountains and beach. It is a popular sightseeing spot having many temples, shrines and other historical monuments. It is located about one hour from Tokyo. This tour covers the most popular spots for visitors such as Great Buddha statue, Hase temple, and Tsurugaoka Hachiman shrine. You will feel historical and sacred atmosphere and see unique Japanese culture. To me, the most impressive part of this tour is the Hase temple, because I always see beautiful gardens and sacred statues there. I would like you to experience with my guiding.

We had an excellent tour of Kamakura with Elichi. He is very knowledgeable and personable. He was very well prepared. I highly recommend him for this tour.
Eddie was an amazing guide. He was so organized and went above and beyond in our tour. He even had a "test" for us on Japanese facts to add a little fun to starting our tour. We also got an origami lesson during lunch. He showed us a great deal in Kamakura - his English is excellent and again he was a terrific guide.
Mr. Eiichi personal knowledge of Kamakura made all the difference in getting the most out of our day trip. He even found a nice vegan place with beautiful sea side views for lunch. itinerary was well Organised for optimal experience. Will recommend to everyone to include Kamakura and Mr. Eiichi in their trip.
We booked our tour at the last minute but will hold the memories very dear. We went to Kamakura. My wife had never been to Japan and had a million questions that Eddy sat patiently answering. This tour ranks as one of the best. The thought and work Eddy puts into his work was amazing. He had stacks of documents that took us from early BC to current times. One of the best guides we have encountered.
One of the best guides we have ever had! Friendly, excellent English, knew his stuff-just great!
