Overview of your Tokyo tour
Kamakura is a tourist destination 30 miles southwest of Tokyo and is an hour by train. Thanks to natural fortress facing the sea and mountains, first Samurai Shogunate in Japan, was born in the 12th century. There are historical Zen temples and shrines because this culture consists of simple beauty and has a close relationship with Zen Buddhism. First, we take a cute seaside tram to Hase temple and the bronze Great Buddha. After seeing the golden sculptures of Buddha, we move to huge bronze Buddha of Kamakura outdoors. I'd like to introduce the history of Buddhism dating back to the 13th century. It is fun to be inside bronze Buddha like a another world. For lunch I'd like to recommend fresh local seafood and vegetable dishes. You can also enjoy local sweets and handicrafts for souvenir on Komachi Pilgrimage Street. And last spot is Tsurugaoka Hachimangu shrine, where is family shrine of Samurai Shogun Genji clan 13th century. Last spot is peaceful zen spot named Engakuji temple. People can feel meditation
