Kamakura Highlights Private Tour in a day (8H)

Yoshi speaks very good English and is very personable. We enjoyed our time with him. While he is highly knowledgeable, he was not as easy to deal with ahead of the tour as most of the TBL guides I have worked with

Yoshi was great. We spent three days with him. The first two were touring around Tokyo and the last was taking us to Kamakura to see the Big Buddha. This was a must for my almost 80-year old mother. Yoshi was so patient with our group of 5 that ranged from 18 to 79. He really tried to incorporate something for our varied interests so each of us got to see what we wanted to see. He was patient when we needed to walk slow. Allowing us to rest while taking the younger two in the group to venture to shops. So helpful in teaching me how to navigate the train system. He even made sure we made it to the Shinkansen station and helped with communicating to train staff so that we got the QR codes done correctly. We had a vegetarian amongst our group, so he was accommodating to their dietary needs in selecting restaurants. We would definitely select Yoshi as our guide again.

We started ot at 7:30am and beat the crowds to the first two temples in Kamakura. Our guide Yoshi was excellent and we enjoyed the day we had.

Kamakura is amazing! It may be a little off the beaten path, but it is totally worth it! I'd been wanting to see the Great Buddha for years, and it did not disappoint. But there's so much more to Kamakura... we were amazed by the beauty of Hase-dera Temple, got to taste the most delicious soba we've ever had, and there were just so many other sights to take in. And our guide Yoshi was amazing. Really went out of his way to pick us up in the morning and make sure we didn't get lost when the day was done. He has a genuine enthusiasm for Kamakura, and we really enjoyed our time with him!

Yoshi, our outstanding guide, organized a fantastic day trip to Kamakura. Despite the scorching heat and crowds, he remained flexible, accommodating our needs. We appreciated his willingness to adapt the itinerary. A special shout-out to Yoshi for being a sport and joining us at the foot bath cafe. His attentive, informative, and friendly demeanor made our Kamakura experience truly delightful. Grateful for the memorable day and can't wait for more adventures with Yoshi in the future!

We’ve been on many private tours and we believe Yoshi is one of the best tour guides we’ve had. He is so friendly and easy to talk with. His knowledge of Kamakura is amazing and his love of the area is apparent as you spend the day with him. Yoshi has a wonderful sense of humor and was so flexible with us as far as what we wanted to see. After asking a few questions, Yoshi was able to find the perfect place for lunch. We feel we have a new friend in Tokyo!
