Hakone, a scenic site, is only 30 minutes away from Tokyo by bullet train. It is also a popular spot for Tokyoites to spend a weekend or one-day trip combined with the foot hot spring. Why don’t you spend your free time at Hakone, where you can enjoy Lake Ashinoko, the volcano, the foot-warm hot spring, and a fine view of Mt. Fuji (when weather permits) within a day? (approx. 4,000 yen per person) - Ashinoko Lake and lake Cruise - Hakone Shrine - Ropeway to Owakudani Volcano - Cable car to the Gora park - Mountain train to the foot spring cafe - Train ride back to Tokyo
