Hello, I'm Yoko. I was born and brought up in Ashikaga, Tochigi prefecture which is about 80 km north of Tokyo and I've lived in Tokyo for more than 30 years. I used to work at computer companies as a systems engineer and a customer service representative in my younger days. After that I have worked as an English teacher for children in my neighborhood. I gained a license of English speaking tour guide in 2013 and I started the job in April, 2015. I love traveling both inside and outside Japan. I saw many beautiful scenery, met local people and learned various cultures on my travels. It's so interesting and enjoyable. At the same time I have realized Japan has many tourist attractions and a variety of unique cultures. And I'm sure Tokyo is a very attractive city for tourists. As you might know Tokyo is the biggest city in Japan and also one of the biggest cities all over the world. There are various attractions inside Tokyo, not only sightseeing spots, but also many kinds of restaurants, shops, cafes and so on. There are a wide variety in Japanese dishes and many of them are healthy and tasty. I am interested in Japanese culture (music, art and traditional performing arts such as Kabuki and Bunraku), historical buildings such as World heritage sites, Buddhist temples and Shinto shrines. Also I love seeing beautiful scenery and townscape. I like strolling around gardens, parks and some places where I can feel nature. So I'd like to take you to beautiful gardens and parks if you like. It would be great if I could help you exploring Tokyo during your stay in Japan. Please feel free to tell me your interest and preference for the tour. I hope you will have a memorable stay in Japan. I look forward to seeing you soon. Certified Tour Guide since 2013 (English - Cert.#EN03254) School Teacher's license for teaching English I don't drive during my tour. But I can arrange a private car upon your request.

Tokyo is the biggest city in Japan and has a lot of attractive and unique places to visit. I've lived in Tokyo for more than 30 years so I hope I know about the city, but Tokyo has changed and still evolving, so Tokyo is a very interesting place even for locals. If you come to Japan for the first time, you may be surprised to see some unique places and things and would like to ask locals "Why?" and "What's that?". I'm pleased to help you explore Tokyo and I'm grateful for sharing such interesting moments with you. Please feel free to let me know your preference and thoughts for the tour. I'm looking forward to seeing you!

Yoko is engaging, friendly and knowledgeable. We had a perfectly paced first full day in Tokyo and learned to use the subway while navigating the city. Yoko personalized our tour and we had a wonderful experience. Highly recommend!!!!
What a great tour! Yoko I was amazing. She was so kind and sweet. We only had a few days in Tokyo and she spent a full day with us and we saw so much that was on our list in that one day! The subway system seemed very complex and having her just made it so simple. Would recommend Yoko I she was wondrful!
Yoko is a fantastic tour guide. This is the second time that I have used her services on a Tokyo tour. Her English is excellent. She knows Tokyo very well including all of the subway stations. She also knows when taking a taxis is more efficient. Yoko is able to clearly explain the salient features of all of the sites that we visited. She took us to a nice local restaurant for lunch. It was a very hot day so Yoko made sure that we stopped as required and kept hydrated. Yoko has a pleasant personality and my wife and I had a fantastic time on our tour.
We had a great couple of days with Yoko. We really feel like we covered a lot of ground and have a much better knowledge of Tokyo and the different areas. Yoko was very knowledgable and made the tour interesting and fun! She also had great restaurant recommendations for lunch too! Yoko was also very flexible in adjusting plans around our interests. We can highly recommend Yoko for anyone looking to tour Tokyo!
Yoko was a great guide. Very personable, knowledgeable and spoke English very well. She was also very helpful in teaching us about the Tokyo transit system, which we used frequently when touring Tokyo on our own. We covered a lot of ground and had a lot of fun.
Here is a sample itinerary: • 9:30 am - I'll meet you at your hotel • 10:10 am- Meiji Jingu Shrine, the most popular Shinto shrine in Tokyo. I love the place very much since the shrine is surrounded by trees. • 11:50 am -Sensoji temple, the oldest Buddhist temple and one of the most iconic places in Tokyo. • 1:00 pm - Have lunch at a Japanese restaurant in Asakusa or somewhere you're interested in. • 3:00 pm - Hamarikyu gardens to enjoy strolling and having matcha tea with beautiful Japanese confectionery - or any other place you're interested in. • 5:00 pm - finish our tour at your hotel. Please feel free to tell me your interest and preference for the tour. I'm happy to arrange the tour for you.
