Hello and welcome to Tokyo. Please call me Kiki. I was born and raised in Tokyo and have spent my entire career working in the city center, giving me a truly local and insider perspective. As a professional interpreter guide, I conduct around 150 private tours a year, mainly for guests from luxury hotels, offering flexible 4 to 8-hour customized experiences tailored to each guest’s interests and pace. From an early age, I was exposed to international cultures, as my parent was educated on the East Coast of the United States and often welcomed guests from abroad into our home. This experience naturally led me to study intercultural communication for my university thesis, shaping my approach to connecting with people from diverse backgrounds. Before becoming a guide, I worked for over 20 years in American-based interior design, specializing in office spaces and retail environments for international clients. I also gained experience in government-related organizations, universities, and embassies. I studied interior design in the United States and hold certifications including a Second-Class Architect license, Interior Coordinator, and Certified Domestic Travel Supervisor. In addition to Tokyo, I also offer tours to Kamakura and the Mt. Fuji area, and I am available for cruise port pick-ups. I specialize in creating personalized tours that combine major highlights with hidden gems, with a particular passion for art, architecture, and design. I would be delighted to share Tokyo and beyond with you in a thoughtful and engaging way.

We begin at Tsukiji Honganji Temple.a historic Buddhist temple in Tokyo, famous for its unique Indian-inspired architecture and peaceful atmosphere. From there, we move to Ginza, often compared to New York’s Fifth Avenue, where refined modernity meets elements of tradition. Next, we visit Meiji Shrine, a tranquil sanctuary set within a vast forest in the heart of Tokyo, offering a calm contrast to the surrounding city. Nearby, Omotesando and Harajuku present a different side of Tokyo, with contemporary architecture, fashion, and vibrant youth culture. Finally, we experience Shibuya Crossing, one of the world’s most famous intersections, symbolizing the dynamic energy of modern Tokyo. As this is a private tour, the itinerary can be adjusted to suit your interests, including food, shopping, or cultural experiences.
