Hello from Tokyo! I am Yuichi, your Visual Storyteller & Local Expert. 【Experience & Philosophy】 With over 10 years of experience guiding more than 6,000 guests, I am proud to say I have friends all over the world. My philosophy is simple: I don't just act as a "Tokyo Expert"; I guide you as your "Best Friend in Tokyo." I want you to feel as relaxed and excited as if you were visiting an old friend. 【Who I Am】 Born and raised in Tokyo, I hold a National Government Licensed Guide certification (English/2016). My academic background includes a Master’s degree in Global Information and Telecommunication Studies (Multimedia) and a Bachelor's in Sociology from Waseda University. (Fun fact: Waseda is the alma mater of Haruki Murakami and has produced numerous Prime Ministers.) I also studied at NYU, which gave me a global perspective and fluent English. I "decode" Japanese culture through the lens of history, sociology, and cinematic storytelling. 【My Trademarks & Discipline】 You can't miss me in the crowd! Look for the guy with Blonde hair and a Headband. Despite the creative look, I am a disciplined professional. I hold a Black Belt in Karate (Okinawa Goju-ryu) and used to be a semi-professional skier. I bring that same discipline to my tour logistics. (If you love winter sports, ask me for recommendations on the best ski resorts in Japan!) 【A True Foodie】 With two uncles who are professional "Itamae" (Japanese Chefs), I grew up walking the alleys of Tsukiji Market since I was 5 years old. I have a strict tongue for quality, so I promise to take you to authentic local gems, avoiding tourist traps. 【Personal Side: Dog Lover】 I am a huge dog lover and actively support rescue dog activities. Currently, I am fostering a lovely Toy Poodle named "Emma" (est. 8 years old) as a volunteer. If you love dogs, we will have endless stories to share! 【My Style】 I am very active and still swim 1.5km to 2km every other day. Just like a Tuna, I can't stop moving! 🐟😂 However, rest assured—I always adjust the walking pace to suit you best. I look forward to making your Tokyo trip unforgettable!

Tokyo is a living organism of contrasts. Limited on time? This 6-hour "Director's Cut" is designed for energetic travelers who want to decode the city's core philosophy without a pause. As a Visual Storyteller, I don't just show sights—I translate the invisible context. We will connect the dots between the quiet dignity of the Shogun’s era, a sacred forest in the heart of the city, and the chaotic pulse of modern desires. I act as your local friend and director, maximizing every second with energy that matches yours. Get ready to move!
Scene 1: Introduction: Meet at your hotel/accommodation - Tsukiji Outer Market (The Kitchen): My backyard. We explore the maze of stalls. I curate the best bites (Wagyu, Seafood, Sweets & more) avoiding tourist traps, sharing stories of my chef uncle. (I've walked these alleys since I was 5!) - Hama-rikyu Gardens (The Contrast): A visual shock. We see a traditional feudal garden set against a backdrop of modern skyscrapers. I decode the "Hidden History" here. - Meiji Shrine (The Serene Forest): We feel the silence of the forest and discuss the Emperor who modernized Japan. - Harajuku & Omotesando (The Desire): A dive into Kawaii culture and high-end architecture. We explore the eclectic fashions of the street and the stunning modern architecture. - Shibuya (The Climax): We walk Cat Street to the world-famous Scramble Crossing and meet Hachiko. Tour End: Drop-off at Shibuya station or your hotel.
Tell your guide which places matter to you, skip what doesn't, and tailor the experience for your group's needs. Not finding what you want? Message your guide to build something unique.
We will use Tokyo's world-class public transportation system (Subway/Metro & JR Trains) combined with walking. This is the fastest, most efficient, and most authentic way to "decode" the city and see how locals live. Traffic in Tokyo can be heavy, but the trains are punctual to the second. Please wear your most comfortable walking shoes. We typically walk about 15,000+ steps on this tour. ※Wheelchair & Stroller accessible: I welcome everyone! Please note that for these guests, we will adjust the pace to accommodate elevator routes.
