Hello and bonjour! (Le français suit l'anglais. ) My name is Yumi, and I'm a nationally licensed tour guide and interpreter based in Tokyo, Japan. I've guided tourists from overseas since 2009 throughout Japan, especially in the Kanto region, including trips around the Greater Tokyo Area (such as Kamakura), Mt. Fuji, Hakone National Park and the Nikko UNESCO World Heritage Site. I was born and raised on Kyushu, the southernmost of Japan's four main islands, and I lived in the Kansai area (Osaka/Kyoto/Kobe) for five years. I came to Tokyo in 1999 and have been here ever since. I love Japan and have lots of information about my country's history and culture to share with you. I'm friendly, knowledgeable and open-minded, and love interacting with people from abroad. I'm sure that my tours will satisfy you and even persuade you to visit Japan again! Yumi was fantastic, we couldn't have asked for a better person. Yumi was wonderful with her communication, and personalized the tour for us. On day one she took us around all the fun and wonderful parts of Tokyo, we also visited some beautiful shrines that weren't frequented by lots of tourists. Yumi helped us negotiate the subway and purchase subway passes. Then on the second day Yumi took us to Kamakura which was a truly magical experience. Yumi's English and French is excellent, she is a charming!

Only had an afternoon to get a feel of Tokyo. Yumi was fantastic. She managed to get us to a quaint part of Tokyo using public transport, which was an experience in itself. She gave us a great overview of Japanese culture and traditions. Worth every cent!!
