Konnichiwa! I am Anson, a licensed Japanese Domestic Travel Manager based in Tokyo. My goal is not just to show you landmarks, but to help you understand why they matter. As a Japanese history graduate, I focus on the stories and cultural background because tourism only becomes meaningful when you understand the context behind what you see. Originally from Hong Kong, I have lived in Japan for several years. That mix makes me both an outsider and an insider. I understand what catches your eye, but I also know the local context that isn’t written in guidebooks. My tours are interactive and detail-oriented. I point out symbolism in temple architecture, historical layers in neighborhoods, and everyday customs that reveal how Japanese society works. These insights are what turn a walk into a meaningful experience rather than a checklist of sites. I also enjoy learning from you! Your background and perspective shape our conversations, making every tour unique and genuinely enjoyable to me. If you want thoughtful conversation, cultural depth, and a fun guide, we’ll get along well. I look forward to exploring Tokyo with you! Anson Some interesting facts about me: - I used to live in Mexico, Romania, and Taiwan - I am a street photographer. I can capture natural, high-quality photos during your tour - I am passionate about onsen, ramen, and football For my tour, I can definitely: - Design a customized itinerary around your interests, whether history, food, art, fashion, or pop culture. - Do a hotel pick-up depending on area P.S. Please tell me your favourite color in the initial message if you read until here, so I know you've read my profile:) (It's okay if you don't, I understand)

**The itinerary below is intended to give you an idea of places we can visit. I prefer customizing the tour to deliver the best tour for you!** We begin in Ueno Park, exploring its museums and cultural landmarks while unpacking how modern Japan emerged from Edo-period foundations. From there, we move to Asakusa Temple, where Tokyo’s spiritual roots and everyday traditions still shape local life. After a locally chosen lunch tailored to your preferences, the day shifts to one of Tokyo’s contrasting faces, namely the quiet, forested grounds of Meiji Jingu, followed by the bold street culture and fashion scene of Harajuku. The route adapts to your interests, whether that’s food, design, history, photography, pop culture, or hidden neighborhoods most tourists miss. This is not a rushed highlights tour. It’s a thoughtfully paced, story-driven day that connects Tokyo’s past and present, with flexibility, depth, and space to enjoy the city properly.
Ueno Park - A cultural hub of museums, temples, and greenery that explains how Tokyo transitioned from Edo to modern Japan. Asakusa Temple - Tokyo’s oldest Buddhist temple. Lunch (Local Restaurant) A relaxed local lunch chosen around your preferences, avoiding tourist traps and keeping the pace comfortable. Meiji Jingu - A forested Shinto sanctuary in the heart of the city. Harajuku - A hub of youth culture, fashion, and street energy. Optional Stops (Based on Interest) Akihabara - The center of anime, gaming, and electronics culture. Shimokitazawa - My personal favourite. A laid-back area known for vintage fashion, indie cafés, and Tokyo’s alternative creative scene. Nakano - A hidden otaku hub with retro arcades and niche subcultures. Shibuya - Tokyo’s symbol of movement and youth. Shinjuku - A mix of business, nightlife, and entertainment that captures Tokyo’s intensity after dark.
