Etna & wine tasting - Full day tour

Sicily is an island where its millennial history can also be read through the beauty of its landscape. About 600,000 years ago was born what would become, over the centuries, Europe's highest active volcano, Mount Etna, which today is certainly one of Sicily's main tourist attractions and one of Italy's most visited UNESCO sites. From the volcano's highest peaks you can enjoy breathtaking panoramas and safely approach the most active craters on the southeastern flank. For Sicilians, Etna is a mother who gives her children the best fruits: the nature of the soil, rich in minerals, makes the estates at the volcano's feet particularly suitable for cultivating native grape varieties, from which various types of wine are produced, including Etna DOC White and Red. This tour is perfect for nature & wine lovers: we'll head to high altitude to discover the beauty of the lunar landscape closest to the active craters, and we'll taste the prestigious DOC wines and sample the associated local products.

The meeting point will be as pre-arranged with the client, according to their specific needs. From there, we'll travel together by private vehicle to the southern flank of the volcano, up to 1,900 meters, where you can visit the Silvestri Craters Nature Reserve formed in 1892 following a long paroxysmal activity lasting 173 days and now completely extinct. This is the easiest activity on Etna and accessible to all, including those with disabilities. Among other possible alternatives, to be chosen based on available time and desired difficulty level, we also offer the tourist train; - time for coffee break; - we'll descend to the valley and reach one of the suggested wineries for tasting; the experience includes a winery visit and, where possible, a walk through the vineyard, sampling various types of white and red wines, paired with local products; - At the end we'll return to the starting point of the tour.
