Messina has given birth to incredible artists. It is a multicultural city with incredible views that recall mythological legends. A city rebuilt recently but that still has the potential to make people dream. • Begin our walking tour from the port exit gate through the center of Messina, known as Zancltos in antiquity because of the shape of its natural port. • Passing some points of interest such as the Church of Annunziata dei Catalani (a remarkable construction of the XII century), the City Hall, the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele, etc. • Then we will proceed to Piazza Duomo, where we will visit the Cathedral, and the unique and impressive Clock Tower firm of the brothers Ungerer in 1933. The bronze mechanical figures on the main façade start to move everyday at 12 o'clock. • There will be time to visit the treasury of the Cathedral which contains the famous golden Manta of the Virgin Mary. • If you wish, is possible to extend the visit to the Regional museum to see the amazing XVII century Caravaggio and Antonello Da Messina paintings.
