Etna, Taormina, Castelmola, Messina - private tour

Mario was 10/10- a trip we will never forget. My 5 year old son asked the next day if we could call him again and go on another adventure! He was knowledgeable, listened to what we wanted, and made everything fun! It was hot, and he would start the car early so we could immediately cool off. He was punctual, kind, and thoughtful. This was our first experience using a tours by locals, and Mario set the bar high. Thanks for everything, Mario!

We had a really great tour with Mario! Picked us up at the port. We visited the Messina astronomical clock and ORO d'Etna (tasting many varieties of honey) on the way to Mount Etna. After Etna, we had lunch in Castelmola and then walked through Taormina. On the way back to the port, Mario took us to Pasticceria Cristo Re for some fantastic cannolis and also made a quick stop for brioche con gelato. Throughout the tour Mario explained all about Sicily and the region and answered our questions. Truly passionate about showing off his home.

Mario was amazing! Our van actually broke down on the way to our first stop and he resolved the issue quickly and continued with the most wonderful tour. We definitely saw all of Messina. Mario was extremely knowledgable and well versed in the culture and history of Messina. Loved our time!
