Our tour with Salvina G. was wonderful, from the moment she met us at the Viking Gate till the time we were brought back to the ship. Salvina provided a detailed historical and present-day view of Messina as we walked to our transportation, which by the way was very comfortable for all 6 passengers, and the driver made us feel safe along our way to Taormina. Salvina took us to all of the sites for pictures and shared her vast experiences and detailed knowledge of this beautiful town. Salvina was very accommodating, taking us to shops and to sample some of the food (granita, arancini, and pizza), which was excellent. We all had a fantastic visit and give Salvina a 10/10 as our best and favorite tour guide during our 10-day Viking Cruise. We highly recommend Salvina G. Overview of your Messina tour
We will explore the pretty resort town of Taormina, claimed by many to be the most beautiful place in Sicily. This walking tour provides a leisurely yet insightful sense of my land, its sculpture, history, famous visitors and charming atmosphere. The tour covers all of the major sights of the city, but I will show you also my favorite places in town, little corners out of the most kown touristic area. Time for a stroll in Corso Umberto (the main street), a huge array of jewelers, lace and craft shops, designer boutiques and souvenir stalls, time for testing the Sicilian food in some of my favorite shops. I have been a local guide for 20 years, a pure Sicilian. Thanks to my knowledge of the place and my sunny and fun character, I am sure I can give you an unforgettable day!

We can't speak highly enough about Salvina and our tour of Taormina. Salvina met us at the gate of our cruise port and brought us directly to our van to begin our tour. She discussed the preferences of the members of our group to ensure that she personalized the tour to our interests. We had specific foods (canoli, gelatto, and pistachios) and some specific shopping we wanted to find while in Taormina and she brought us to shops owned by locals with authentic items. Throughout the day she checked in with all of the members of our group and made sure everyone was enjoying their experience. We would not hesitate to hire Salvina for a future tour.
