What a nice time you will have! After this quiet village, we will embrace the elegant and charming town of Taormina. You will learn about the history, the old constructions, the elegant shops and you will have the possibility to taste the unique local food in some of my favorite shops. - From the hotel or port, with a private car, we drive to Castelmola, a village perched above Taormina. The trip will reward us with excellent panoramic views and photos. - A walk through the alleyways will lead us to the square, and there we will stop at one of the local bars, to taste the specialty of the place, the almonds wine, before returning to the car. - Drive to Taormina a short stop at the Madonna della Rocca. - Explore the pretty resort town of Taormina, claimed by many to be the most beautiful place in Sicily. This walk provides a leisurely yet insightful sense of Taormina, culture, history, charming atmosphere. We will cover all the major sights of the city: the Roman Odeon, Corvaja Palace, the churches (Santa Caterina, Cathedral), the Greek Roman Theatre. - time for light lunch or cannolo - a stroll in Corso Umberto (the main street) offering many beautiful shops and the Cathedral next to the Jewish section.
