My first time to Florence was in July -92 and it just felt right. I loved everything I saw and all the people I met so six months later I was living in Firenze and I have never had any regrets. Florence is my hometown and I live in the busy area of San Lorenzo. I have been working as a licensed tour guide in Florence since 2004 and in Siena since 2008. I consider myself very lucky because being a tour guide is not just a job. It is a lifestyle! One of the best things in my job is that every day is different and that I have the privilege to meet people from all parts of the world. I believe that a good tour guide has to love people and be willing to interact and share experiences. If I had to describe myself in three words they would be positive, outgoing and dynamic. My idea about giving tours is that they have to be more than just pleasant and informative. I think it is equally important to have fun without being superficial and to deliver an experience. A masterpiece is a masterpiece. Visiting the Academy of Fine Arts to admire the original David by Michelangelo is probably one of the most exciting things to do in Florence. With a tour guide it will be a completely different experience. Join me and I will be happy to tell you the story behind the artwork. Florence though is not only David. I never get tired of walking the streets of Florence where you literally breathe art and history. Where every stone speaks to you. I still get amazed every time I pass the Cathedral with its imposing dome and I do think that Piazza della Signoria with its statues is one of the most beautiful squares in the world, not to mention the elegant Medieval architecture of the Ponte Vecchio. Let's discover Florence and its secrets together!

Monica was a wonderful tour guide! She showed us all the highlights of Florence. She was so patient of all the pics we wanted to take and so knowledgeable of the history and art…especially the David statue which was amazing! We truly enjoyed our time with Monica and learning all about Florence.
